Everyone needs a pair of go-to shoes. Before I left for my fall road trip to Niagara Falls with my girl Amy, I knew I had to grab the perfect pair of booties. Sadly I retired my old faithful black leather ones from GAP.
I scoured on Amazon to see whether they had what I needed (especially since I left it to the last minute so Prime it was...). Keep reading for the jet-setting booties I've been drooling over.
The Classic
I don't think anything is sexier than someone walking confidently in a pair of classic black booties. I can imagine myself stepping out of an airport wheeling some way-too-expensive luggage while strutting in one of these babies. I love the over the ankle feel and chunky silver zipper of these Dolce Vida Sammie booties. Or to show a little ankle skin, the rounded edge of the 206 Collective set is pretty fire. Clarks made a sleek addition to this list with their Othea Ruby Ankle Boot.
Chelsea Boots Under $200
I've wanted the perfect pair of chelsea boots for years. I still haven't bought them, but maybe one of these three are going to be in my closet in the near future...I haven't owned a pair of Timberlands since middle school but these Preble chelseas might just make the cut. One of the best pieces of advice I received was to wear rainboots throughout the winter. In Shanghai women were rocking chelsea rainboots and these ones from Sam Edelman look like the ones I wanted. Either way, these April Chelsea boots are everything too.
For When you're Feeling Extra
There's nothing like the feeling of someone asking you where you got your shoes from. Unique shoes have been a vice of mine since I was running around in my first pair of walking shoes (which were hand painted). These three are sure to turn heads. I love the perforation on these booties from The Fix. The stars aligned when I saw these ones that are also from The Fix (who doesn't love a good pun?). I usually don't shop at Aldo but I couldn't resist how shiny and beyond extra these pair are.
